FRIVOLITIES AT FIVEWAYS

It’s said that laughter is the best medicine and that involuntary spasms of the larynx can lead to a longer, healthier life. Funny ha-ha is theatre at its most engaging and requires actors with the best of timing. For director Nicola Furst comedy will also be her contribution to re-energising Paddington’s cultural scene. The idea for the show originally came about at a local commerce meeting. Her company, Furst Class Productions, is bringing fans of live theatre back into the lovely Paddington area. “There’s way too much seriousness in the world. A laugh is great release,” Furst says. In the program of seven short plays Furst promises live music, mostly Aussie scripts and lots of surprise.
