FAST+FRESH THEATRE SHORT PLAY COMPETITION
A call for entries to the Fast+Fresh Theatre short play competition have just been announced. The competition, now in its 8th year, gives under 18s the chance to showcase their writing, directing or performing prowess by entering their original plays in the heats, scheduled to take place from May 10th to 18th at Riverside Theatre, with the finalists performing on May 25th. Fast+Fresh is the little brother of the popular Short+Sweet Theatre – the largest short play festival in the world. “It’s a great opportunity for young aspiring playwrights, actors and directors to present their work to an audience in a professional environment”, Riverside Theatre producer Camilla Rountree said of the competition. Prizes are awarded for Best Script, Best Production, Best Director, Best Actor, Best Actress and People’s Choice for the plays, which must be under 10 minutes and produced entirely by Under 18s to be eligible.
