EVENT: ART JAM

Ever thought your squash paintings rival Ben Quilty’s? Think it’s about time your block towers were shown at the MCA? Then check out Art Jam! If you’re aged between six and 12, Art Jam is inviting you to get amongst the art making and exhibiting experience during September. Workshops in sculpture, installation, mural and screen-printing will be held at Tortuga Studios in St Peters, a fully functioning artist warehouse replete with power tools and heaps of stuff to make even better stuff out of. With real live practising artists on hand to guide the creation of your very own artwork and an exhibition day (with prizes!) showcasing all work produced in the workshops, Art Jam promises to be the ultimate experience for the budding artist. Come along, get your hands dirty, get creative, make art, and maybe even meet acclaimed artists Allan Giddy, Chris Fox and Emma Price of The Kingpins.
