Duncan sends 2011 postcard

Barrister Malcolm Duncan has again thrown his hat in the ring as a candidate for Sydney at the state election next March.

“We live in the best part of the best place in the world and are proud to say we own the postcode 2011. The coming election is the postcode election. Let’s send a postcard to Macquarie Street,” he said.

“I am concerned not only with important local issues such as the 311 bus route, traffic congestion affecting public transport, the gross mismanagement of the City by the Clover Moore Party and the current debacles involving public spaces such as White City, Rushcutters Bay and the Fitzroy Gardens fiasco but the general deterioration of infrastructure and public administration throughout the State.”

His opponents so-far are incumbent Clover Moore, De Brierley Newton (Greens), Adrian Bartels (Liberal), and Sacha Blumen (Labor).

Mr Duncan has been described as a ‘serial candidate’, running in most state and federal elections. His policies include drug law reform, advocating legalisation.
