COMEDY: BLIMEY! THE BEST OF BRITISH

COMEDY: BLIMEY! THE BEST OF BRITISH
If the canned laughter and cheesy catch-phrases on the box aren’t cutting the English mustard then the Comedy Store’s latest offering may be just the thing you need. Because, core blimey, the Poms are in town, and they’re here to dish out some right royal tin baths (that’s laughs for those of you not fluent in cockney). Over two weeks, Jeff Green and Eddy Brimson will lead an all-British assault on Sydney audiences. And if the reviews are anything to go by, these lads will knock you for six. Direct from the Edinburgh Fringe, the geezerish Brimson pushes every possible boundary with his no-holds-barred brand of crass humour. On the flipside, Green is a softly-spoken and charming Englishman whose, “affability sugar-coats the path into the sharper observations” (The Daily Telegraph). Winning audiences over with his sharp wit and intelligence, Green remarks on everything from singledom to relationships and parenthood. So for a taste of something that’s more British than bangers and mash, give this show a go – it may be just your cup of tea.
