Close-knit group targets Kings Cross

The I Heart Kings X wool graffiti project has just one knitting weekend to go. The Saturday morning group at the Kings Cross Markets has achieved 20 formal knitting circles over 6 weeks; over 150 participants with up to 50–60 at some circles; over 200 square metres of finished fabric, using about 120kg of yarn – equivalent to 40–50 sheep fleeces. But the group is still short of its target volume to transform Kings Cross into a woollen wonder during Art & About in October. All are welcome to drop in, drop a stitch and join the eclectic group from 10am near the El Alamein Fountain this Saturday.
