Classical-pop quartet Il Divo make their Australian return

Internationally renowned vocal group Il Divo make their long-awaited Australian return, apart of their A New Day Tour, at Aware Super Theatre this October.

Since being discovered by Simon Cowell in 2003, the quartet have become internationally acclaimed for their unique classical-crossover. Masterfully blending their operatic voices with their mainstream music inspirations has made them a standout within the industry, having led them to collaborate with acclaimed superstars including Celine Dion, Toni Braxton and Michael Ball.

Being the first classical crossover to debut at number one on the Billboard Top 200, the group has sold over 30 million records worldwide and achieved 160 Gold and Platinum album certifications.

Il Divo includes original members; Swiss tenor, Urs Bühler; French pop artist, Sébastien Izambard; and American tenor, David Miller. They are also joined by newcomer, Mexican-American baritone Steven LaBrie.

This special tour celebrates the illustrious career of the group, whilst commemorating their latest performances to original member Carlos Marín, who passed in 2021.

In anticipation of their long-awaited return, the quartet are accompanied by special guest and opener, Neapolitan singer Patrizio Buanne.

Buanne is praised for Neapolitan crooner sound, selling over 10 million worldwide, including one-and-a-half million records and receiving triple-Platinum certification in Australia. His engaging stage presence  and powerful voice provides an authentic emotional experience.

Both Buanne and Il Divo will take you on a global journey of classical-pop music, with a set list featuring songs in English, Italian, Spanish, French and Latin.

You can expect to hear deep cuts from the Il Divo repertoire, along with their hits including “Regresa a Mi” (Unbreak My Heart), “The Time Of Our Lives”, and “Hola” – their version of Adele’s “Hello.”
