CINEMATHEQUE NEW SEASON

Here’s one for your diary, or whatever electronic equivalent everyone uses these days. Once again, the Chauvel has waved their wand and made every self-respecting cinephile’s wetdream come true for the next Cinematheque New Season, curtains parting August 1. The line-up includes the incomparable silver-screen gems To Kill a Mockingbird, Endless Summer, White Heat, Stalker, Black Sunday, Dead of Night and Hair, plus many more. Skip Monday’s Masterchef in favour of some low-brow popcorn and celluloid culture instead. (AB)
