CHINESE TAKE-AWAY

CHINESE TAKE-AWAY
Chinese Take-Away is a film about the absurdities of life,  little acts of kindness and gingerly opening one’s heart. Seemingly lighthearted yet not, it explores the depths of human existence in a friendly manner. Roberto (Ricardo Darin) is a grumpy middle-aged bachelor living in Buenos Aires. He has his own peculiarities – collecting unbelievable death stories and falling asleep every night at exactly 11pm. One day a Chinese immigrant called Jun (Ignacio Huang) who is thrown out of a taxi lands in Roberto’s life. They have no common language which is a source of frustration but also leads to funny situations. On a final note, it pays to not leave the cinema before all the credits have rolled. ***
