CAPTAIN AMERICA

Steve (Chris Evans) is a pipsqueak and desperate to serve his country and fight the Nazis, but he keeps getting knocked back. That is until a not-so-mad scientist turns him into a sexy beefcake superhero. What was the best part of this film? Well, Hugo Weaving did a mean German accent, and Tommy Lee Jones is always fun. Ummm …  what else? The lead girl wore an awesome shade of red lippie and resembled a less lispy Billie Piper (with smaller teeth). It’s not that this was a bad film – it was just a bit meh. For those after a good action film, approach this as a movie to tie you over until something more exciting comes along. (ES) **1/2
