The overall tally of medals won by Bondi Surf Bathers Life Saving Club members could have been greater if the open water three-kilometre swim at Chowder Bay in Sydney Harbour had not been cancelled when water temperatures dropped below 18 degrees Celsius. Cyril Baldock, Lea Hill and Ryan Huckle had been favourites for their respective age events.
