Best Public Pool: Ian Thorpe Aquatic Centre

Sydney is a city of bronzed, buff and beautiful bodies and has no shortage of facilities for residents to stay in shape. Splattered throughout the city are several pools but the Ian Thorpe Aquatic centre is ahead of the rest. The facilities here are amazing –like its champion namesake – and several Australian Olympic swimmers train here every afternoon. A 50 metre 8-lane Olympic pool is kept to a constant temperature. There is also a kids’ pool and a hydro pool, a sauna and steam room. Pump those muscles in the enormous gym downstairs and obtain that even tan on the sundeck, which faces the city skyline.
