AUSTRALIAN SURF MOVIE FESTIVAL – THE IMMERSION TOUR

Whether you base your life around tides and breaks, or would rather poke around in a rock pool, there’s something undeniably mesmeric about surf movies. From The Endless Summer to Point Break, it’s a hard task to not feel a little jolt of adrenaline watching riders barrel through waves, or find that perfect break. As our own somewhat disappointing summer draws to an anti-climactic close, there’s one last nod to the beach culture that we’ve all been missing so much making its way to the Seymour Centre this Easter to give you a final taste of the good life – the Australian Surf Movie Festival. The festival, celebrating its tenth year, is the brainchild of surf movie extraordinaire Tim Bonython. From humble beginnings in small venues, the festival has grown into a full-blown sell-out tour, both up and down the coast and internationally. This year sees more action-packed films, plus live music from young up-and-coming bands to set the mood.
