ARCHIE ROACH – INTO THE BLOODSTREAM
What a few years Archie Roach has had since his 2009 release 1988. Roach suffered the passing of his wife and a stroke in 2010, then survived lung cancer in 2011. In the face of that adversity he’s returned to performing and released the inspirational and uplifting new record Into The Bloodstream. You can hear the fragility and the cracks in Roach’s voice but boy does it soar above the music like a phoenix reborn. The man has literally risen from the ashes to deliver this incredible body of work. Australian storytelling at its finest.
