AMERICAN PIE: REUNION

Reunion films usually fail to live up to the standards of the originals, but with all of the frivolity, sex, nudity and 90s antics of the American Pie franchise, all American Pie: Reunion had to do to gain the approval from a nostalgic audience was crack the same jokes and remind them of hilarious moments from the first films. With the original cast members at the top of their romantic comedy games, and more than ample room for new love interests and dramas, involving wives and girlfriends, and even a rendezvous between Stifler’s mum and Jim’s dad, the reunion movie is everything fans of the two previous films could hope for.

The result of this culmination of characters and play on events from the previous movies is perhaps an even funnier version, with an uplifting soundtrack full of 90s hits sure to jig people’s memories back to simpler times. While it’s no masterpiece, American Pie: Reunion won’t disappoint beyond the required sappy last few scenes.
