ABDUCTION

Most cinema-goers see Taylor Lautner as, ‘that wolf guy from Twilight,’ and being type casted is one of the worst things that can happen to an actor in Hollywood. This brings us to Abduction – the young star’s attempt to break free of the brooding crowd while showcasing his action-man chops. He attempts this as Nathan, a teenage student turned man on the run after his parents are murdered in front of him.  Unfortunately for the muscly lad though, the whole thing is just a mess. From unsatisfactory action to a laughable script and even worse acting, this clichéd farce never manages to get off the ground. Lautner fans will love it regardless, but this will certainly do no favours for the actor’s career. (AG) *1/2
