A Major Ticketek Outage Has Left Fans & Promoters Fuming
Fans have been left upset after the Ticketek website went down late on Sunday night, leaving fans unable to access their upcoming concert and show tickets.
The home page displayed an error message saying that the site is down for “maintenance.”
‘The Ticketek website is currently undergoing maintenance. We apologise that the update is taking longer than anticipated,’ the message states.
Some users report errors occurring from Friday last week, while most reports say people experienced errors using the site late on Sunday evening or from the early hours of Monday morning.
As of midday on November 19, some users are reporting that the site is back up and functioning, while some fans on social media are still reporting errors, or that the site is unusable — including missing tickets from their inboxes.
Fans have noticed that their tickets for the concerts of Twenty One Pilots, Amyl & The Sniffers, Katy Perry, Kylie Minogue, and Taeyang have disappeared from their upcoming events inbox.
Ticketholders and fans take to social media begging for help
Users took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to express their discontent, and begging for Ticketek to communicate with customers about the outage and errors.
@Ticketek_AU can you please be honest and communicate with people regarding the issue that is impacting so many customers – admit your site is down, apologise, and advise when we can expect to access our accounts

One user wrote, “Why is @Ticketek_AU not posting that their website and app are down? How the hell are people supposed to access their tickets?!”
Multiple X users proclaimed their anxiety and their disappointment toward the site.
After the website experienced a data breach hack that included customers’ names, emails and dates of birth this past June, fans began to speculate if the website had been hacked again.
@Ticketek_AU since your app has returned I am now missing a bunch of tickets in your app. They are still in my order history but not in the tickets section

Outage affects major artists and promoters
Multiple artists and bands have had to postpone their Australian shows and ticket presales, which has frustrated both the artists and their fans.
It has affected the sales for major events such as the upcoming Jack White tour, Katy Perry’s tour, and the A-League’s Unity Round.
A spokesperson for Frontier Touring told news.com.au that they had moved presales because of Ticketek’s ‘maintenance issue’.
“Frontier Touring became aware the Ticketek website went into ‘maintenance’ in the early hours of yesterday for security reasons (Mon 18 Nov). As a result, we postponed yesterday’s planned presale for Sydney and Melbourne shows by US rocker Jack White,” said a Frontier spokesperson.
“As of this morning the Ticketek site is still not able to sell tickets so the rescheduled Jack White presale has been moved to alternative ticketing agencies AXS (Melb) and TicketSearch (Syd).
“We are also cancelling today’s presale for Roisin Murphy, moving the onsale for Alexisonfire and presales for Ado. Fans should check frontiertouring.com and our socials for ongoing updates.”
City Hub has reached out to Ticketek for comment and update on the outage.
