More CCTV cameras to ward off crime in Glebe
Another closed-circult television camera will soon be installed over a street in Glebe, in a bid to reduce crime in the area.
The City of Sydney said they will install a new camera on Franklyn Street, near Glebe Point Road, in addition to those already overlooking Bay Street and City Road.
It comes after councillors unanimously endorsed a recommendation to fast-track the development of a safety plan for Glebe in response to widespread concerns about local crime and anti-social behaviour.
The Police Commissioner’s Inspectorate will present a report on the recent community safety audit of Glebe at the City’s North West Community
Forum in Glebe on June 16, and will identify several areas that need improvement.
