Letter to the editor: No Macca’s here

I understand the original concept for McDonalds’ Rosebery site was to be as its corporate headquarters with a training centre and flagship family restaurant; a plan with merit.

It’s not known why McDonalds changed their mind, but to propose a late night fast-food outlet twinned with a late night bottle shop is obviously a very bad concept.

McDonalds should ask themselves, how does the expected crime and drunken, loutish behaviour equate to the idea of a “family restaurant”?
