5 DAYS OF WAR

Set during the devastating five-day war between Russia and Georgia, 5 Days of War is based on true events. It follows American journalist Thomas Anders (Rupert Friend), his British cameraman (Richard Coyle), and a local woman called Tatia (played by the lovely Emmanuelle Chriqui) who find themselves in the middle of the crossfire. The pacing of this film is brilliant. It has nail-biting tension and action, horrifying drama, engrossing characters with an uncliched love story tossed in for good measure. The performances are great and you can also expect to see Andy Garcia, Dean Cain (remember that Superman guy from the 90s?) and Val Kilmer. This is a film you won’t want to miss. (ES)  ****
