Yvonne Coburn: Liberal candidate for Hunter ward

Yvonne grew up in Dover Heights and has lived in the Waverley area for more than 35 years.
She is married to Tony Coburn and they have a daughter in Year 3 at Moriah College, where Yvonne serves as an elected Board Member.
She has Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Laws degrees from the University of NSW and a post graduate diploma on leadership from the John F Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University.
A top level executive search and management consultant, in 1996 she was a Telstra Businesswoman of the Year (NSW) finalist.
Throughout the 1990s she wrote a weekly column for The Australian on management and leadership issues, and is committed to highest quality governance and administration in public affairs.
From 2000-2005, she served on the Board of the Bondi Baths NSW Crown Reserve Trust during the restoration of the Bondi Baths building.
She believes in balancing preservation of culture and environment with modernisation and redevelopment, has a strong social conscience, and is very approachable. She has volunteered with charities Pre-Eclampsia Research Laboratories, The Hunger Project, Career Fasttrack, and the National Council of Jewish Women (Mentoring Program).
