SYDNEY FRINGE: GHOST STORIES

SYDNEY FRINGE: GHOST STORIES

If your Fringe Festival experience has been sadly lacking in spookiness, be prepared to be scared with four nights of ghost stories. Sydney Park’s towering brick kilns become the background for a session of chilling ghost stories, told around the campfire. “[It’s] the perfect site-specific location,” says producer Michael Brown, “the cold hard bricks, the darkness, it’s the perfect setting for a spooky story.” Bring a picnic blanket and soak in the great ghost stories of history and some newer ones as well. The early session from 7pm brings you silly tales for little ones and families, while at 9pm the more thrilling stories for adults begin. It’s from the Campfire Collective, the team who to date have created story-telling shows for the Imperial Panda Festival and the Surry Hills’ Library Late Night program.

Sep 23-Oct 2, Sydney Park Brick Works, Sydney Park Road, St Peters, $10-15, thesydneyfringe.com.au
