Police investigate string of break and enters across city

NSW Police have begun investigations into a string of break and enters this week after a man broke into four separate city businesses on Wednesday morning.
Just before 3:30am on Wednesday, a man gained entry into a business on Harris Street, Pyrmont, allegedly breaking into the property before disconnecting the CCTV cameras, and a short time later stole a lockbox containing cash at a property on George Street, after kicking open the fire escape door to gain entry. He was seen to be leaving on a scooter with an unknown registration.
At about 5:15am, the man forced entry into a supermarket at Quay Street in Haymarket, stealing cash and cigarettes before leaving. He also tried to gain entry into a nearby property but was unsuccessful.
Man who police believe can help with city break and enters is of medium build, 175 centimetres tall
Police released images on Thursday afternoon of a man who was seen in the areas at the time and is believed to be able to assist with inquiries. He is described as being of medium build, about 175 centimetres tall, and was wearing a black face covering and a white motorcycle helmet at the time of the images being taken.
