Rhiannon bends the rules in senate campaign
Lee Rhiannon, Greens member of the NSW Legislative council, has brushed off calls from federal party leader Bob Brown, to resign from her current position ahead of her senate campaign in the upcoming federal election.
The calls came after it was found that Ms Rhiannon was using her state office as a contact point for her federal campaign.
Such practices are strictly forbidden to prevent politicians using one office as leverage to gain another.
Ms Rhiannon has stated she will resign from her state position when a federal election is called.
