Pyrmont Point Hotel Is a Classic Sydney Corner Pub & A Local Favourite
Located towards the tip of the Pyrmont peninsula, Pyrmont Point Hotel offers terrific pub style dining and entertainment with friendly service in a great atmosphere.
With indoor and outdoor dining areas, architecturally varied spaces, and easy transport options, it’s an ideal spot for functions, special gatherings or someone to chill with your pals.
One of the district’s oldest pubs, Pyrmont Point Hotel wears its history proudly on its facade. The name “Royal Pacific” still appears in bold letters across the parapet of the building, even though it was given its current name back in 1996 after having one of its many renovations.
Yet, its past goes back even further. Built in 1850, it was originally called the “Lands End Hotel” and was only two storeys high. Its name changed to Royal Pacific in 1886 and an additional level was added in 1913.
Over the years, the hotel has seen external updates to its architecture as well as renovations inside that have drawn out its original charm.
Pyrmont Point Hotel features large public dining areas as well as four spaces that are available for functions. There is a large second storey balcony where patrons can enjoy drinks and cocktails in the fresh air.
John Street Square, a large open paved area behind the hotel, and it is used to great advantage for outdoor dining. Canopied tables allow comfortable dining in the sun, and the outdoor space means you can bring restless kids and dogs along, too.
