By DANIEL LO SURDO

Police have called on the public to assist with information related to a man “known to frequent the Petersham area” who is wanted on an outstanding warrant.

Ali Aygenc, a 47-year-old described as being of Meditteranean/Middle Eastern appearance, about 180 to 185 centimetres tall, of large build with black hair and brown-coloured eyes, is wanted by police on an outstanding warrant, with police asking the public to assist with any information related to Mr Aygenc’s whereabouts.

Prior inquiries have led police to believe that he may be in Queensland after recently travelling there by road.

It comes as police last week called for the public’s assistance in the whereabouts of the 43-year-old Arthur Vasi, who was reported missing from Rozelle.

When contacted by City Hub, NSW Police said that Mr Vasi was located safe and well in Sutherland on 5 March, one day after calls for public assistance were made.

Anyone with information about Mr Aygenc’s whereabouts is urged to contact Crime Stoppers and is reminded not to report information through NSW Police social media pages.
