PETE MURRAY – BLUE SKY BLUE: THE BYRON SESSIONS

The title says it all really. Pete Murray’s latest album is all about blue skies and that laid-back beach-vibe that is synonymous with the veteran muso. Byron Bay is also a place known for its relaxed, chilled vibe and there you have the obvious theme running through these ten guitar-strong tunes. Blue Sky Blue is less varied than Murray’s previous efforts but this one features a number of famous friends such as Katie Noonan, Bernard Fanning and Ash Grunwald. Although tracks like Always A Winner and Hurricane Coming pick up the pace, it is still standard Pete Murray.
