Perfect score for Bondi lifesavers

Bondi’s men’s open six-person rescue and resuscitation team performed the rare feat of drilling no point deductions in both their heat and final of the recent NSW Surf Life Saving Championships at Kingscliff on the Far-North Coast.

The recipients of the nine gold, five silver and four bronze won by Bondi lifesavers at the titles were:

Gold: Tyrone Robertson, Michael Pollard, Nick Nezval, Andrew McEncroe, Scott Ryan, Simon Watkins, coach Cyril Baldock (men’s open six-person R & R team); Kylie Miller, Jann Ashley, Jennifer McMillan, Megan Reid, coach Andrew McEncroe (women’s open five-person R & R team); Gary Emmerton (men’s  masters 50-54 years tube rescue race); Dori Miller (women’s masters 40-44 years surf race and tube rescue race); Steve Delorenzo, Cyril Baldock, Gary Emmerton (men’s masters 170 years minimum age surf teams race); Matt Colquhoun (men’s masters 40-44 years single ski race); Frequent Flyers crew, Bob Tate (sweep), Matt Barker, Titus Day, Kieran Milne, Jason Vineburg (men’s masters 140 years minimum age surfboat race). Tim Jarrod (men’s open 2km beach run).

Silver: Nick Nezval, Danielle Hoban, Simon Watkins, Andrew McEncroe, Scott Ryan, coach Cyril Baldock (open mixed five-person R & R team); Louise Stevenson, Luane Rowe, Dori Miller, Andrea Miller (women’s open surf teams race); Simon Watkins (men’s masters 35-39 years surf race); John Caporn (men’s masters 65-69 years surf race); Gary Emmerton (men’s masters 50-54 years rescue tube race).

Bronze: Gary Emmerton (men’s masters 50-54 years surf race); Emiel Temmerman, John Caporn, Simon Watkins (men’s masters 130 years minimum age surf teams race); Steve Delorenzo (men’s masters 50-54 years rescue tube race); Teletubsies crew, Chris Pike (sweep), Scott Hamilton, Jason Tassell, Dave Willis.
