This is the first album for Paul Kelly in five years and it plays like a quiet re-introduction. Spring & Fall consists of 11 songs that trace a love affair through its metaphorical seasons.  The tracks on their own are simple gems but designed to be listened to in one sitting, flowing one after the other to detail the cycle of a love story. They are deliberately kept on the short side to assist the momentum. Opening with the hopeful New Found Year, full of youth’s promise and ending with the wise Little Aches & Pains, love is found, love is lost, love ages through the Spring & Fall.
