MP Jo Haylen Has Office Vandalised For The Fourth Time

NSW Transport Minister Jo Haylen has had her Inner West electorate office vandalised in what she says is the fourth incident of its kind.
The Summer Hill MP’s office in Marrickville had the word “antisemite” scrawled along the window, along with the phrase “honour your oath, seperate church and state”.
NSW Police say the vandalism occurred at about 1pm on Saturday and are investigating the matter.
Haylen condemned the action in a statement as “disgraceful and cowardly”, adding that she was confident the offenders would be found subjected to “the full force of the law”.
“Yesterday, my electorate office was subjected to a disgraceful and cowardly attack of vandalism,” she said.
“This is the fourth time my office has been subjected to this kind of criminal attack.

“These kind of criminal acts are designed to intimidate and divide our successful multicultural communities. I will not be intimidated by them, and nor will the rest of our Inner West community.”
Increased media attention in Sydney graffiti
The act comes as a wave of racist, antisemitic and Islamophobic graffiti sweeps through Sydney.
Ten people have been arrested in relation to incidents of graffiti these last few months, with NSW Police operating under Strike Force Pearl to investigate the attacks.
A daycare in Maroubra was set alight and vandalised with antisemitic graffiti only earlier in the week, but no arrests have been made yet.
Jo Haylen last had her office vandalised in late November, when activist group Rising Tide protested her decision to place an exclusion zone over Newcastle Harbour prior to their planned blockade of the port, effectively making it illegal to be in the water.
“It’s a clear action by Jo Haylen, by Chris Minns, and the NSW government, to suppress peaceful protest,” said one of the picketers in a video uploaded to social media.
The coal exported through the port represents 1 per cent of all global emissions.
