Medich offices raided over McGurk murder

The Leichhardt business premises of property developer Ron Medich were raided by police on Wednesday, October 27, as the property developer became the fifth person arrested and charged in conjunction with last year’s fatal shooting in 2009 of millionaire businessman Michael McGurk.

Earlier in the day, Mr Medich, 62, had been arrested for questioning at a business premises in Martin Place. He was later charged with soliciting to murder.

Mr Medich’s multi-million-dollar home in Point Piper was also raided.

Ron Medich and his brother Roy were the former owners of Leichhardt’s Norton Plaza, but sold the premises for $112 million in October 2007.

The four other men charged over the alleged murder are former boxing champion Lucky Gattellari, Senad Kaminic, Haissam Safetli, and Christopher Estephan.
