MADE OF HONOUR
Made of Honour is a predictable but lovable romantic comedy. Michelle Monaghan gives a surprisingly convincing and original performance as Hannah, the free spirited, artistic best friend to Tom (Patrick Dempsey) who is a rich, eternal bachelor and modern day Casanova. When Hannah has to travel to Scotland for six weeks to work, Tom realises that he has feelings for her but is confronted with the news of her engagement to a Scottish royalty when she returns. Tom (who is made of honour) decides to win her back, and so the whirlwind of the rest of the film begins. While the typical obstacles along the way can be tiresome, there is redemption in the exchange between Tom and Hannah. Both actors’ shine in the rough of poor supporting performances. Released 1 May.
