Liberal candidate for Vaucluse Kellie Sloane has promised upgrades to Bondi Road, New South Head Road and Old South Head Road in a $10 million investment if the Liberal Government is re-elected this state election.

“Having listened to the community, I’m proud to say if re-elected the Perrottet Government will invest in upgrading these roads for the Vaucluse Community,” Sloane said.

The investment will go towards covering potholes and resurfacing of the roads, together with improvements to increase utility and ease traffic in the most heavily congested corridors.

This move comes to ensure that the over 90,000 daily users of the roads have a faster, more reliable journey towards their destination.

The risk of flooding will likewise be targeted through the construction work, to guarantee that the roads are well equipped for present and future needs.

“We want to ensure the roads in and around our community are as good as they should be so locals can get to work and home, visitors can enjoy a great day out and tradies can earn their living”, Kellie Sloane said.

This investment comes as the neighbouring Inner West Council has filled over 10,000 potholes in 2022 alone to address the NSW statewide emergency caused by floods and torrential rain in November last year.

Liberal MP Gabrielle Upton has represented the Vaucluse since 2011 and will retire this year, leaving the race between Liberal candidate Kellie Sloane, Australia Labor candidate Margaret Merten, Independent candidate Karen Freyer and Greens candidate Dominic Wy Kanak.
