Liberals launch campaign for Vaucluse

NSW Opposition Leader Barry O’Farrell launched the Liberal Party campaign for Vaucluse on February 3. The candidate, Gabrielle Upton, a local resident, was supported by 250 people at the launch in Bellevue Hill.

Mr O’Farrell said that Ms Upton, if elected, would make a substantial contribution in representing the needs of the Vaucluse electorate and to help the party implement the Liberal five point action plan for the state.

These include: rebuilding the state’s economy through lower taxes and business growth; improving community services in health, transport, education and safety; renovating infrastructure; restoring accountability to government; protecting the local environment and return planning powers to the community.

Ms Upton said she was working hard to address the issues of the electorate, including efforts to make Vaucluse less congested, safer and have its neighbourhood character better protected.

“The Liberal 5 Point Action Plan will be the key to serving the Vaucluse electorate better and making NSW the No. 1 state,” she said.
