JEREMY HARRISON – HELLO BITCHES

Admittedly, upon hearing the album title one would expect a Beastie Boys release but instead it’s the debut from local singer/songwriter Jeremy Harrison. Hello Bitches offers 16 odd trad country tracks with acoustic guitar and a dusty withered voice, punctuated by the odd harmonica solo. Harrison pens some evocative lyrics about personal relationships and related themes; and aside from the album title Harrison makes another bold statement by employing no other instrumentation than the aforementioned. It’s not a bad thing – it just takes a lot of effort to see the record through.
