Game Review: Diablo 3 by Abhi Sharma

Diablo 3 was released May 15 by Blizzard Entertainment and is the sequel to Diablo 2. It is a hack and slash dungeon crawl. It is set in the fantasy world of Sanctuary where the other two previous games were set as well.

There are many changes in the new game and some aspects have been completely taken out. You no longer allocate stat points as they are auto assigned. Items and loot now drop for each person in the game individually so no one else can pick it up or even see it unless you drop it.

Joining other players is also a lot simpler. You can create your own game and open it to the public or just randomly join another person’s game by selecting “join public game”; if your friends are playing you can click their game and instantly join with no wait times to long loading screens.

There is also a live auction house that that you can buy and sell items and crafting materials and there are plans to implement a real money one as well,. There is no Player vs Player at this stage but may be implemented in the future. The game does require you to have a constant Internet connection to play and is only available for the PC.
