Fondue might have been a 70s craze, but if you ask me, dipping things in cheese never gets old! Here’s a chance to try it at a restaurant – Eastern Suburbs stalwart Bei Amici are turning it on for Swiss Day (Sunday 28th July) because their chef, Felix Rutz, is Swiss. You’ll be greeted with gluehwein and roasted chestnuts before delving into a three-course menu ($78/head) that features Felix’s grandma’s fondue recipe, Geneva style trout cooked in Riesling and Ragusa chocolate mousse! They’re throwing in some patriotic touches too, from yodels to flags to the odd cow bell, so it’s sure to be a fun night!
