DANCE CLASS: WRONG PROM
Wrong Prom is sort of like saying the same thing twice, right? These one-off dance events based on choreo-tastic cult classics of the 70s and 80s are so wrong they’re very, very right, and the first one is coming up on May 27 at CarriageWorks. Kicking off with the original toe-tapper Footloose, you’ll be led through Kevin Bacon and SJP’s moves by professional dance instructors. Reckon you’re a bit of a wallflower? You won’t be after a few of the cocktails from the bar. And no babies will be put in the corner at the follow-up Dirty Dancing extravaganza (that’s not a hint to bring your child along), Saturday Night Fever and Xanadu (roll in on your skates!). Daggy? Who cares! In the immortal words of Kevin ‘Badass’ Bacon “Hey, hey! What’s this I see? I thought this was a party. LET’S DANCE!” Consider that a date, Kev.
