Best South American Restaurant: Cafecito
You probably don’t know where Cafecito is and if you do you might not know that it doubles up as a Brazilian restaurant. Masked by its standard cafe-like decor and burger-chip laden menu, the cafe’s other side has something special to offer. Each day has a new Brazilian special accompanied by some regular classics like the cooked prawns, cassava puree, rice and mash Bobo de Camarao and the steak beans and egg Plato Freito. The extra Portuguese menu has many undecipherable and tasty snacks on it like Pão de queijo (cheese bread) and pastels (similar to pasties). The cafe also doubles as a shop for Brazilian products live guava paste and the mysterious Amazon powder. (Nick Jordan) Shop 25 Town Hall Sq, 473 Kent St 9267 5575
