BEST FAMILY RUN PIZZA JOINT – ALBERTO’S
Generous portions and an extensive menu makes this family run pizzeria a favourite for Newtown locals. Alberto, the man himself, is still stretching dough at 81 after 37 years when the shop first opened. The bright green, red and white front shouts a warm Italian welcome and there is of course an Italia soccer banner hanging inside on the wall (Alberto is a passionate soccer fan and world history buff). A classic margarita is just $9 and with a selection of pastas, mains and desserts, there is something here for everyone.
