Berri worthwhile goals

Bondi’s Jeremy and Andrew Cameron are two young guns taking the berry world by storm.

Currently they are in the Amazon donating $22,000 they raised but in 2011 they aim to raise $40,000.  The Camerons head an Australian company that guarantees 1 per cent of all its retail sales will be donated to registered charity ACAIMU, a project of the Amazon Friendly Program ( www.amazon-friendly.org) to help build and fund schools in the areas surrounding where their Acai berries are sourced.

The boys started Rio LIfe in 2005 and it has been growing ever since – Ian Thorpe and Miranda Kerr are two fans – http://www.riolife.com.au/

The business is part of a worldwide movement towards deriving nutrition from whole food sources rather than popping pills. With their product, nothing is taken out of the Acai berries other than water and the seed. A good option for those looking for more energy, antioxidants, omega 3,and 9 fibre nutrients.

The Camerons featured in the BRW emerging companies last year.
