Even though I’m only 5 foot tall, I can handle a whole range of sizes… when it comes to cocktails. At the top of the Sydney Tower, the cocktails are listed just that way, by the size of the glass: tall, martini style, short, straight up and Champagne. (There’s mocktails too: if you must.) The Bar Fly favourite: the very fine Ardbeg Uigeadail stirred with Grand Marnier and a hint of maple syrup, transformed into the divine Smokey Eye ($21). The Canadian BFF was ecstatic over her tequila Peanut Butter Jelly Time ($18). When I tried hers, I wanted it too! Don’t be mistaken because of the tourists: this is a very fine place to have a drink while you watch the city pass by, all 360 degrees of it.
