Afro Moses: reggae, funk and fusion

Ruby’s Place, in the heart of Bondi, will host the multi-award winning Afro Moses in a night of rhythm, fun and reggae.
Born in Ghana, Afro Moses has spent most of his life writing, singing, touring and playing to audiences all over the world.
As a teenager, Moses had already hit the carts as a talented musician and has since been dubbed the ‘African James Brown’.  His energetic music is a fusion of reggae, funk jazz and fun.
The multi award winning artist was voted as Ghana’s best international music ambassador in 2000 and 2002. He has won numerous best song, best album and best live act awards and shared the stage with artists such as Ziggy Marley and Youssou N’Dour.
Moses was also involved in composing and performing the musical score for the short film Inja which was nominated for an Oscar in 2003. His dynamic band, Moses O’Jah, meaning Moses Fire, all come from uniquely different backgrounds, highlighting Moses’ core message of ‘unity and individual beauty and talent’.
Afro Moses will perform from 7.30 pm at Ruby’s Place, 95 Roscoe Street, Bondi Beach, on Saturday November 29.
