30-up for Neighbourhood Centre

30-up for Neighbourhood Centre

It’s been an institution in the area for three decades, and this month, it’s pulling out the stops to celebrate. On November 28, the Rozelle Neighbourhood Centre celebrates its 30th anniversary, and it’s inviting the community to join it for ‘High Tea and History’.

The Centre aims to build community wellbeing and strengthen social inclusion through a variety of programs, services and projects that promote community ‘connectedness’ and deliver outcomes for vulnerable and disadvantaged groups. Some of the numerous activities and opportunities on display at the Open Day will include ‘Little Spoons’ cookery for kids, Community First Aid, and Goodwill Nation. Entertainment will be in plentiful supply too, with Alana Glover, Earthbeats Early Childhood Music, and the Unity Hall Jazz Band all forming part of the billing.

The event will also feature local food and merchandise stalls, digital media, creative workshops and a barbecue. The day will kick off with a High Tea in the main hall, where a brief history of the Centre will be displayed.

The Rozelle Neighbourhood Centre’s 30th anniversary celebrations take place between 10am and 3pm on Sunday, November 28, at 665a Darling Street, Rozelle. Gold coin donation on entry; for more details, visit www.rozellecentre.org.au
