NSW Police are appealing for information after a 14-year-old boy was assaulted and robbed on a bus in Kingsford earlier in the month. CCTV footage of a man was released in the hopes of assisting with the investigation into the incident.

The 14-year-old was reportedly approached by a man late on Saturday September 17, when the man demanded the boy hand over his bag. After the boy refused, he was then assaulted by the man, before his wallet was taken and the man fled the bus at a stop on Gardeners Road.

Police say the boy was not injured, however was “shaken” by the assault. Eastern Beaches Police Area Command officers attended the scene after the incident.

The man in the CCTV footage is described as wearing a green high-viz jumper, a black shirt with light coloured writing, and black tracksuit pants with three stripes down each side.

Eastern Beaches area command officers will continue with the investigation.
